Graça e Paz seja contigo e com nossos amados irmão da UMCEB!

Com grata satisfação e alegria no Senhor quero parabenizar os irmãos pelo Congresso em Torres, RS.

Ainda que nossos olhos naturais possam compreender que há necessidade de ajustes na organização, o que sempre ocorre, quero neste momento trazer à memória o que nos traz esperança, e o que me faz transbordar o espírito é ver a maneira como Deus, de forma poderosa, agiu em nosso meio, trazendo graça e crescimento espiritual e ministerial. Os irmãos da delegação de São Paulo retornaram grandemente impactados, com uma renovada disposição para servir e assim Deus tem nos permitido desfrutar de um relacionamento como nunca antes tínhamos experimentado.

Agradeço também o tratamento de honra e fraterno carinho com que o nosso presidente, Cel Emilson, o amado irmão e demais diretores da UMCEB ofertaram a nossa delegação bandeirante.

Deus os abençoe  e continuamente louvado seja o nome do Senhor!

Entendi como muito oportuna e proveitosa a reunião de líderes ocorrida durante o Congressso e por essa razão solicito a atenção a respeito de alguns pontos que foram tratados durante a mesma:

1. Como solicitado e definido em reunião proponho, após ouvir nossa diretoria, que a reunião de líderes estaduais da UMCEB (seminário) em São Paulo, capital seja em 09 (e 10) de abril de 2011 (solicito análise e confirmação);

2. Solicito ainda que o irmão nos encaminhe cópia da Ata lavrada na referida reunião de diretoria e lideres da UMCEB ocorrida durante o congresso;

3. Aproveito para solicitar o encaminhamento (caso não tenha sido feito) , conforme deliberado, do Ofício do Presidente da UMCEB ao Cmt G da PMESP, como forma de gratidão e reconhecimento pelo empenho, amplo e imprescindível apoio na participação da delegação da Polícia MIlitar de São Paulo no Congresso. Se for possível nos remeter cópia do Ofício para postarmos em nossos informativos e no site ficaremos gratos.

Dear Friends and Prayer Partners:

Oh how we wish that you were here!   The blessings just keep pouring down and it is hard to contain them!

Today had both high points and some low ones.   Don was on teaching Critical Incident/Stress Management and all of us felt it was for us!   Then he went into Critical Event Debriefing and we sat and listened more.  The students could hardly keep up taking notes and each one wanted to learn more.  It is a real blessing when you are teaching to have the students really attentive and asking questions that show they are learning so that they can use the material later.  It was a time when some brought up things that have happened and they expressed the thought " I wish I had known this earlier!"  Great blessings poured down on all of us through this class.

While Don was teaching, the rest of the men went to a courtesy visit with the Head of the Air Force Education Susyems, a three star general.  He is a non-religious person, does not believe in anything, but he was glad they had come, listened politely, spoke to them in English and in his own way, welcomed them to the nation.  A copy of John Schumacher's book "A Soldier of God Remembers" was left with him and we are trusting the Lord to prod him to read it and speak to him through it.  This is a blessing we are trusting the Lord to bring in the future.

At the noon meal we had to bid farewell to an Air Force LTC who has taught at Lackland AFB in Texas.   His English is quite good and this morning he was Don's interpreter while Bob went on the visit.  It has been a joy to share with him during the week and he is very sorry that he cannot remain with us next week, but the AF says "Go" and he must follow orders.   We also said farewell to Don as he returns to the States tomorrow!  Our loss is Elaine's gain and we thank her for letting him come down for this week to share with us.  The men were very sorry to hear that he is leaving and they wanted a group picture with him in it!  So that is the enclosed picture today.  Don has been a great blessing to all of us and we thank the Lord for having him come down with us.  We look forward to other times that he will be able to join an IAEC team and share the Lord with others.

Bob had the morning with the visit, so this afternoon he was on for both periods.  The first was presenting the "Chaplain's Covenant and Code of Conduct".  Before the end of the period, all of the students were ready to write a similar code for here in Chile.   Bob talked with the National Chaplain for the Police (who took the introductory course 3 years ago) and he told Bob that he had written one for the Police and was using it!  Thank you Lord for another blessing!

During the last period, Bob did a debrief on the classes for the week.  Every class had good meaning and application to the students,  and all are eager to return on Monday to continue with the course.   We thank the Lord for His leading and what has been accomplished this week.  We thank all of you who have been and will continue to stand with us in prayer.   Mercy drops have fallen all around us, but so have many showers of blessings!  Oh that you all could be here to share with us!
